Extending vent through new soffit

I am building a soffit and drywalling it. I know nothing about hvac; what parts would I need to do this and are they common parts I could get at a big box store? Thanks

Marbledust Member   Join Date: Jun 2010 Posts: 140	Extending vent through new soffit Look up an a/c tin knocker in your area/draw a picture with dementions.the shop will charge you less than buying a half sheet of 26 ga. sheet metal!
