Evaporator fans motor different speeds


Can anyone please help me understand how the different evap fan motor speeds affect the unit.

Evaporator fans motor different speeds


High------------------Medium-----------Low
Moves the most air, moves less air, moves the least air.

The speeds are to be used to move the right amount of air for the heating or cooling load your house has.

Evaporator fans motor different speeds


Determine the correct amount of air by checking system static pressure and using blower data supplied by the mfr. and matching cfm to unit size.

Too little air and the superheat is too low which can slug the compressor with liquid . Too much air and the system doesn't dehumidify properly. The most expensive system in the world is junk if not set up right.
