Estimate for Basement HVAC in New Construction

I know very little about HVAC systems and I was hoping someone could enlighten me to help me formulate what would be a reasonable upgrade cost. I am having a 3200 sq foot 2 story home built with an unfinished basement. The contract calls for 2 zone gas packs with an American standard 13-seer unit on the 1st and 2nd floors. I am now considering having my basement partially finished and will need a HVAC system that can accomodate a 1200 sq foot basement with 10 foot cielings. The partially finished basement will include a 11 x 15 room, a 9 x 11 room, and a 5 x 10 common area, but I do plan to eventually finish the entire basement. None of the HVAC work has been done so I wanted to get opinions on what would be a reasonable upgrade cost for an HVAC system that could accommodate my basement. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You should probably be asking your builder.

Whatta'ya think I am? A physic and I can see your job from here?

We have no way of knowing how the duct work would have to be laid out with out some prints.
Jeez....the expectations of some people.

Now that i have that out of the way I think I'll kick the dog, smack my old lady and poison the neighbors dog.

I have asked my builder and I am waiting for the quote. The intent of the question was to just get a back of the envelop guesstimate of a fair price so that I could evaluate having the builder partially finish the basement versus finishing it all myself. You shouldn't need blue prints to tell me if this should be in the 10k or 25k or whatever k price range. Again, this is new construction, so individuals with experience in HVAC systems should be able to provide me with a ballpark figure.

There is really no way someone can give you an estimate over the web
Prices vary widely by location, only local people can give you an estimate of the cost
