Ducting Issue??

Hey guys & gals,

I realized recently that our vents downstairs were not blowing with the pressure that they use to. I opened up the doors where our heating unit is and found this (see pics below). Initially this seemed like an easy fix until I looked further into it. It is a 12" coil duct connected to a 12" 90 degree bend coming out of the unit. It looks like the original installer smashed the 90 to make the radius. this ultimately led to the 90 degree bend breaking into 2 pieces and the coil duct eventually split, since there was no support.
My issue is that the largest part to actually access the duct and try to remove & repair is only 7". I suppose I could use some shears to cut up the existing 90 degree elbow, but how would I get a new one back in? The wall to the left of the unit is easily accessible, but I'd really like to try and fix this without tearing into the drywall.
Any advice would definitely be appreciated!
.
.
Thanks!

Understood. What would be your recommendation? Remove the drywall on the left for full access? Or is there a less intrusive fix (not necessarily easier).

Thanks.

Afraid it looks like you have to cut out the drywall.
