duct insulation...

When two ducts are running side by side...
(like the supply and return so commonly do)...
Do EACH of those ducts need 3" (R8)?
Or can they "share" that 3" of insulation?

duct insulation...

If the duct is in a conditioned space then normally we don't insulate. But if you are going to insulate then insulate seperatly. You don't want the duct work to become a form of a heat exchanger and also the duct could condensate
