dryer woes

In the basement? I'd guess it's damp down there and no AC? How is the ductwork condition and how is it vented? Condensation when it's idle or when it's running? answers...answers...answers.

Do you want it your way or the right way?

Is the flap on the outside cover closing? Humid air coming in through it in the summer meeting cool house temps causes your condensation.
