Tidy up the insulation in the floor joint/header areas of my new house.
Right now, there is no insulation at the header where the gas dryer vent pipe pass-through to go outside, is it ok to put insulation in the area with vapor barrier, will it be hot enough to cause issue?
Thanks in advance.
most insulation will have heat ratings,if you don't see that I believe you will be o k to insulate dryer vents if you sleeve the exit putting a tube around the vent leading outside your house a good example of this would be a wall thimble made for wood stoves you don't have to buy a thimble just look it uo online and see how they are made all you need is a gap between the dryer pipe and the insulation.
Good luck

Will use fiberglass insulation with plastic vapor barrier.
Thanks for your help.
