Dryer vent cleaning...what to look for when finding a professional quality job?
Our dryer seems to not be drying as well as it once was. We routinely clean the dryer vent out so that is not of concern. We've wanted to have someone come out and do a full dryer vent cleaning.
What should I need to know before I get someone out here?
I know that some of these companies advertise basic cleaning for roughly $39 but that only cleans the vent tubing just behind the dryer to the wall and not up thru the roof. Is this just a pretty basic anyone can do it or what? I believe it will cost about $79 but I don't want to get ripped off.
If your vent goes up through the roof and you are getting it cleaned for under $200, I would not say that you are getting ripped off.
A lot of energy is wasted when a dryer has to run extra long (or twice) because the clothes aren't dry.
