Drain Radiant Floor Loops
Hi all, please forgive me if this is the incorrect forum.
I have a slab foundation on my workshop and we have decided to winterize it for the winter due to the high costs of fuel to heat it. With that said...
My workshop floor has 6 1/2" pex loops in it and a on demand water heater to heat the water. I want to drain out the pex loops but cannot figure out how to get the air pumping into the loops accordingly. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
It is a single zone set up...
What else is needed to know enough to help?

Basically can I do this with the recirculating system that is attached to the on demand water heater, or do I have to actually disconnect the loops from the manifold?
Why is there not already antifreeze in the lines that would prevent it from freezing?
As above, it should have at least enough anti freeze already for burst protection.
Radiant systems that are drained after having been in service, usually end up with corrosion/oxidation problems when someone tries to put it back in service later.
I would check and see if it has anti freeze in it first. And if so, probably set the stat to 40 or 45.
To drain and purge all water out of it, you would need to disconnect all lines to the manifold and blow each one out separately. Along with the tankless.
