Draft Inducer Motor Assembly
I am looking for the part number for a Draft Inducer Motor Assembly. My furnace is a Carrier Weathermaker SX, Model Number 58SXA120--101LG, installed in Novemer 1991. The inducer motor part number is JA1P077N, 115Vac, 60Hz, 1.75A, 3300rpm, 0.050hp. The motor is running hot and I want to replace the entire assembly rather than just the motor (motor, blower, housing, etc). Can someone please identify the assembly part number and a possible vendor?
Thank You, 70Flyer |

What do you have in stock ...? 15 motors or 15 motor mounts?
That blower was not fixed to the mount like todays inducers. That furnace is very old and I don't think that stocking a motor that has one app (and especially since it is 3300RPM) would be something I would tie up money in stocking. I don't remember when the last time was I even saw one. Most have been replaced. |

Draft Inducer Motor Assembly
Thanks for all the replies. I still have not located a complete Draft Inducer Motor Assembly. Here are the details again:
Item: Draft Inducer Motor Assembly Furnace: Carrier Weathermaker SX, Upflow Furnace, Series 100 Model Number: 58SXA120--101LG (this is the exact number, no other #s) Serial Number: 3091A03591 (not provided in first post) Installed: November 1991 Inducer Motor Part Number: JA1P077N, 115Vac, 60Hz, 1.75A, 3300rpm, 0.050hp. There are no other numbers on the furnace or inducer motor assembly. The motor is running hot. I located a replacement motor itself, but I want to replace the entire assembly (motor, blower, housing, etc.) rather than just the motor alone. The reply from "HarleyRider" stated that he had 15 in stock, but I don't know if he means 15 motors or 15 assemblies. If he has the entire assembly, I would be interested in buying one. I contacted Carrier directly, and they would not provide the part number. They told me to go to one of their dealers. Again, any help is appreciated. 70flyer |

Hey 70 flyer
You know those motors normally run hot. What measurement is making you nervous? An Amp measurement against the spec's is the better test to worry over. |

I have religiously maintained this furnace over its 20 year life. I clean the inside of the furnace every 4 months with a soft brush, shop vac and blower. On December 30, a service technician performed the normal annual maintenance on the furnace. He said that the motor is rated for 1.75A max, and that it is drawing 1.85A measured. So, it is about 0.10A over the maximum expected current. This may not be enough to make it run hotter than normal. It may be a sign that the bearings are about to seize. I don't have any data from the previous maintenance activities because they did not measure the inducer motor current separately. They usually measure the blower motor current only. The technician measured the inducer motor current this time because the motor felt hot to him.

Draft Inducer Motor Assembly
HarleyRider,
Thank you for the part number. If you have the Inducer Motor Assembly, Part Number 309868755, what is price and shipping cost to Pittsburgh, PA? I have pictures of my Inducer Motor Assembly, but the file size is too large to attach. I can email to you if you provide your email address. Thanks Again, 70Flyer |
