Disabling CADET Wall Heater?

We have downstairs 2 Cadet wall heaters (like this: Cadet CSC151TW, only without an operational thermostat on it) attached to one wall thermostat and were wondering if it's somehow possible to disable one but still be able to use the other. We have a new cabinet and the only place it can go is right smack in front of one of the heaters. Would disabling one create an electrical/heating hazard?

If this can be done, what kind of specialist would you recommend--hvac, electrical, etc.? Are we talking major re-wiring job or is this rather simple?

Thanks for any advice you can throw my way.

Yes it's possible. You open up the one you don't want to use and disconnect the power from it. That will prohibit it from working and should not affect the other unit. Very simple and if you decide you need to use it again just hook it up. Electricians or HVAC tech can do this work. Perhaps you could as well. Is that within your level of expertise?:whistling2:

No i'm afraid it's out of my ability. not even sure what to do with the wires if i disconnected it.

Kudos to you for admitting that. It's relatively simple and someone with basic electrical knowledge will be able to help you.
