Diagnostic codes on Carrier WM 9200

I have a Carrier Weathermaker 9200 furnace that won't ignite. I already replaced the HSI thinking it had gone bad, but nothing changed.

I guess I have an older model as there is no display that shows the error codes, but rather a red LED that flashes. Problem is, I don't know how to interpret the flashes.

I get 3 quick flashes, followed by three additional slow flashes. Does this mean "33"?

Thanks for your help!

OK, I figured out how to interpret the code, thanks to another post on this site.

So I have an error 33 code. Any suggestions on what I can do determine the cause?

NOTE: I have ZERO experience with furnaces, so if there is something that I shouldn't be messing with, please let me know. Thanks!

33 is a limit or flame rollout switch is open. Both are serious and you should get a Pro to find out what happened/caused them to fail or trip. Resetting them if there is a dangerous condition is not a good thing to do. THat furnace is prone to cracked secondary heat exchangers and Carrier had a recall/class action lawsuit over them so you should get it checked by a Carrier tech as they are the only ones who can get the warranty 4 U.

Thanks for the info Yuri. Since there was a recall, did Carrier extend the warranty or re-warranty the system? Mine is at least 8 years old.

the heat exchanger has a 20 yr or lifetime warranty and they pay a set $$ amount to the dealer for labor to change it. after that you are back to normal and on your own.

Awesome! Thanks again Yuri!

Yur welcome. if he is there to just fix the furnace get him to check the heat exchanger and that requires removing the fan and crawling it to look at the bottom for water stains. some guys may not want to do that but ask his dispatcher or service manager to send a guy who will.
