DC Pink insulation right against ductwork?
Just installed some new lights, and my electrician recommended putting insulation in between any of the romex wiring and the heating ducts (our inspectors tend to be sticklers). That said, I CALLED corning to confirm that the fibreglass insulation would be fine right against a duct, and as its rated for 220 degrees (states so probably F) they said yes, no problem. Looking at the bag itself it is saying leave a gap between the insulation and the ducts
 ... thoughts? recommendations? should I have grabbed the roxul instead? REALLY want to get a clear answer so I can finish drywalling the ceiling this weekend lol |

The insulation touching the ducts is not a problem. In fact the ducts are lined with the same material. If memory serves me correctly, the fiberglass has to reach 700 degrees before it melts.
