Dayton 3E226E unit heater

I have this heater hung in my garage, plenty of clearance and 6 feet of vent stack.

The unit frequently "cycles out", meaning I have to climb up and push the reset button, then it operates fine for a few days and it happens again.

Thank you. John

kenmac,
The reset button is on the left side.
As looking at the left side, the reset is in the
top right corner. I stick my finger into a small
round opening and feel the button. Push it, hear a click
and the burner will fire up again.
Thank you.

if the unit fires up then the fan comes ON that limit has to be the hi limits with the red button reset..either it is weak on the metal disc and close to the fan ON disc from fatigue change it...the blades on the fan are clean and does the fan seem to be moving the normal air as usual..hi limit should pop at 200F-220F is the reset limit tripping with the fan running...if then its the HI LIMIT thats shot.

sorry, yes, the fan continues to run, blowing cold, while the burner is off.
Click the reset, burner starts up, fan still running.

Thanks so much.
