Cutting duct work

I have to extend 3.25 x 10 duct from point A to point B. Problem is point A to point B is not a square/straight run, it is at an angle. How do I figure out what the angle is so I can cut the duct work to fit properly when installed? Thanks

You don't. You get a angle transition piece made at a sheet metal shop and then attach the straight duct to it. That requires drafting and geometry or a skilled sheet metal guy to do.

Take a straight edge piece of metal and try measure the amount of offset and draw a picture and get a offset adaptor made. Or make a template from cardboard. then try and cut it from your new duct. Better to get an adaptor made.

Not that I know of unless you want to get a piece of flex canvas connector made. It is neoprene nowadays but eventually will dry out and crack in 10 or more years.

Stay tuned if someone else has an idea.
