Our condo has 1-pipe steam which we want to convert to 2-pipe water using "single entry injection valve" (see www.hydronicalternatives.com ) technology.
We plan on using pex and bypassing the old system entirely.
Has anyone done this? Are there contractors who specialize in this?
Sure but it is expensive to do. 1st thing to do is a full heat load to see if the existing radiators will produce enough heat for the building at the lower water temps. Steam ran at 212+ water normally around 140 to 160 for radiators.
