Contactor problem


Thanks guys I will remove the board and see if one of the gurus in town will have a look at it.

Contactor problem


if the air handler end has a transformer within then the compressor contactor COIL voltage is 24Vs if you push it in and it runs that winding in the compressor is Ok electrically...freon working wise is the mystery? it being a Heatpump the compressor call is common on heating or cooling the stat swings the reversing valve.check here for boards http://bestbuyheatingandaircondition...cuitboards.htm

Yes but that looks like a 4-pole controls relay, which will not have the capability of handling the amperage draw of a compresser. Typical contact capacity is 5-8 amps for a relay of that style.
