Considering a conversion from FL Heat Pump to AC

I have a heat pump AC that is about 13 Seer that is 3 ton. I am considering replacing it but is it a lot more work to put the blower in and the condensor outside? The last guy said stick to replacing the heat pump.

Are you referring to changing to a split system. from a packaged unit.

The current heat pump is on a stand in the garage and blows into the house. I think with a standard AC unit I would need the blower in the same place and a condensor outside? The AC discouraged me from changing cause it is "a lot of work." Thanks.

Ok. You don't have an outdoor unit with this heat pump.

Is yours a water source heat pump?

Yep. You'll need to install an outdoor unit. If you want to get away from a water sourced unit.
