Possible board bad or open limit.

Look at the bottom panel of the furnace and check to see what flash code you are getting and go from there.

You will see a sight glass on the panel and a green flashing LED. Count the flashes and post here

It is either going to be a high limit or a roll limit fault. Probably isn't the board.

Check filter to see if it is plugged.

Sorry Ben, But some ICP's equiptment has the inducer and blower come on at the same time for tripped high limit and roll out and not just a call for heat.

See more with a roll out switch then a high limit, though

Now you need to ask yourself why did it trip?

Gas pressure to the burners to high?
Restricted flue?

How old is this furnace?

He'll be back.

You now have heat but the more relevent concern should be what caused the roll out switch to trip. While it may just be a faulty switch it is often the first warning folks get with an exchanger problem

Had one one time where the roll out was tripped. The HO showed me the problem and reset it in front of me. (I always look at the job before I bring in my tool bag) So I went to the truck to get my bag and when I walked in the front door it sounded like a freight train where the furnace was. Check gas pressure to the manifold and I almost fell backward when the manometer read 7.4 Inwc.

It's always something with roll outs I have never seen on just go bad.

Hey 101
Mine was being called in after a supposedly reputable HVAC Co changed a home over to 2 lb gas for running new skinny fireplace lines and somehow forgot about the regular atmospheric furnace. The way it was shaking gave me a new appreciation for the anchoring qualities of solid black iron piping.
