Condenser Sizing Question
I'm looking at a home (9 years old) on the market. Home has two zones. One is first floor/basement, other is 2nd floor. Home inspector says the second floor unit is pulling more power than the other unit (3 ton vs. 2.5 ton). Is there any logical reason why an HVAC company would install the larger condenser for the second floor?
After inspection, the question was posed to the seller's agent and in turn was posed to the HVAC tech that services the unit and the response was that it's correct, and that the HVAC company hired by the builder did not inadvertently switch the units. Brand is Comfortmaster.
Because the heat comes through the ceiling!
