Condenser fan help

New guy, can I cut off one of the 4 wires to a 3 point capacitor adding a Dayton 1/4 HP 4 wire motor? Dayton 1075 RPM motor. Proline 370 vac 3 point cap.

Unit runs all the time and unit won't shut down with thermostat.
Thanks

Condenser fan help

Read above, but do I have to use a 4 point capacitor? They sold me a 3 point, but motor runs and won't shut of with thermo switch? Not usind the brown/white striped wire, have it taped off? A wiring diagram needed, not in the box motor to Cap? Thanks.

Condenser fan help

Wire it up like the old motor. Just cap off the brown with white stripe motor.
