condensation leaking in basement!

:( :furious: :censored: I have the comfortmaster RPJ2 since 1996 it's a 100.000 BTUs heating AND cooling unit that the builder installed once I had my basement finished, now in 2006 water began leaking on my basement floor,it seems like it coming from the condensaton line on top of my unit where I think the coil or evaporator is located, I get about 3to5 gallons a day that I'm mopping up,now I called nebrasky plumbing and their tech said my drip pan is tilted the wrong way and that the contractor installed the unit wrong,so he cleaned an blew out the lines and 118 dollars later I;m still mopping up water! please help DIY to the rescue. I'ts funny how this unit worked fine for 10 years, but I heard that most of these units are usually changed after 10 years, True or false?......... thanks, please can someone give me advice.

A look inside while the unit is operating should give a good idea as to where the leak is. If you already paid a pro to fix it once and his fix did not work, I'd give them another call and tell them to come and fix it properly.

true scorrpio, however if they are not quaified, call an hvac tech..
i dont think it was wise to apply air pressure to the condensation line with out futher investication. like looking for a leak. he may have made it bigger. changing the line isnt a huge task. nor is repairing one, if a repair is possable. call a pro. and get a pro. opinon a plumer is not an Hvac tech. and try to get one that is EPA certified.

The evaporater coil does have to be installed correctly. If it is tilted
the wrong way it will not drain. level is ok.
