Condensation in air handler/return vent / dripping to carpet
I know very little about hvac topics but hope that I can explain this clearly.
The attached picture shows what I see when I remove the filter from my hvac unit. The unit is heat and air, all electric, no gas...that's all I really know.
As you can see, condensation is dripping from the coil that is visible when the filter is removed. Problem is, the consendation pools and then runs through the opending near the pvc pipe you see. When it runs through, it just drips onto carpet in a closet. So I assume the condensation should not be dripping/pooling, or else it would have some sort of exit path other than my carpet.
Do I need to clean this coil? How? Something else the problem?
