Condensate draining into sink drain

The primary drain pipe from my AC condenser drains into the drain pipe of my bathroom sink. I've been reading various posts that indicate this is possibly a code violation, or at least a bad idea.

Any thoughts on this?

The condensate drain does not have a p-trap on it, but at least it connects to the sink drain on the side of the sink (see photo), so sewer gasses venting into the AC should not be an issue. However, I have noticed this winter that when my heat is running this sink makes a glurp, glurp, glurp noise.

The condensate drain is the black flexible hose coming out of the wall. It attaches to the sink drain above the trap:
