why do you need it and are you a tech? not a DIY job. did it burn out or why do you need one. Carrier can get you the right one with the model #.

i'm a student. friend gave me his units info. a carrier tech told him he had a burn out. i have not seen the unit yet just wanted info so i can shop for a comp. online or at a supply house tomorrow. i will check before i buy one but it will save me great deal pricing a comp. if that is the issue.

have U ever changed one? if it has burnt out then you need to decontaminate the system with a flush kit and add suction and liquid line filter driers and find out why it burnt out. not an easy job. if not done properly it will last a yr and burn out again and have no warranty. metering device may be plugged from the burn out etc etc.

compressors can burn out from weak capacitors, low incoming voltage (brown outs) power surges, burnt or loose wiring on the compressor itself , low on freon, icing up etc etc so I would encourage you to find out and learn why it burnt out rather than just changing it and not learning anything. we can help you here IF you really want to learn.
