Compressor for Bryant condensing unit model 561CJ036-F

Our townhouse has a Bryant condensing unit model 561CJ036-F. It's a shame, 3 months right after our manufacturer warranty expired, the AC won't cool. Our contractor said we need to replace the compressor. However, we/he cannot find any information on the model #/part # for compressor. Any suggestion on where to find out the compressor information?

I called the contractor company who installed the HVAC unit for our builder and they quote us a very high number. I doubt they will check their record for this compressor info for us.

Thank you! Any suggestions are welcome!

get the model-sn off the compressor all resisdentials use most of the standard compressor manufacturers check here for visual and specs...note the refrigerant you have to match compressor spec on what refrig it can take http://www.bestbuyheatingandaircondi...tegory_Code=C2

if it was a burn out on the compressor new freon and dryer are a must....depress the shradder fitting on that insulated line out on the condenser and smell you fingers with the oil and freon.if it tweeks your nose the freon is cooked need a clean charge,vac...and dryer.find out what is covered...time freon dryer.if it is a mechanical failure then the freon stays and so does the dryer so they can valve the condenser off recover the freon within change out the compressor revac condenser and reopen lines and top off with relcaimed stuff......NOTE check that contactor also if it is arked melted change it out probably not covered availible right at your local Grainger..guess it 30A 24V coil http://www.bestbuyheatingandaircondi..._Code=CTR301PS

The LL drier gets changed if the system has been opened!!!! ( don't care if it has been valved off or not )

If you valve off the condenser, how are you going to get the refrigerant out of it. The service valves when closed will keep the charge in the condenser and are open to the the line set....
