Compatability question (cooling unit to heat pump)
I currently have a goodman 2-ton cooling unit (CKL24-1L) that is a 2ton unit and want to switch to a goodman 13 seer 2-ton heat pump condenser (GSH130241). I have a goodman ARUF024-00A-1A air exchanger unit that the cooling unit goes through. Are these units compatible with one another? Do i need to get a thermal exchange valve to accomodate this change? Also, i need to get heat strips put in.

So in summary: are these three units all compatible with one another?

Thanks in advance!

Yes they can be matched.

If you had opened the last attachment and crossed numbers your self you would have seen this

On a side note. IMHO Goodman is crap

Are you going to try and install this yourself or do you have help?

Beware, The Goodman AC unit you currently have is probably a 10 SEER. The Air Handler was produced with the same ARUF024 number as a 10 SEER designed unit, and then when the standards changed in 06, the ARUF024 number is still used, but the coil that it contains was altered to be 13 SEER compatible. I would have the serial number ran and have Goodman confirm.

I am skeptical that you have a match.

Good Luck
