which company is better

I live in MA and I am installing central air in my 2000 sq/ft cape style home. I have had two estimates and each contractor swears by two different makes of condensers, rheem and amana. Which is better quality?

Is the Amana a "true" Amana, or is it an Amana Distinction. If Distinctions, its a relabeled Goodman, and is a builder grade unit. Nothing wrong with that.

Instead of comparing brand name. Compare features.

Might want to post model numbers, so one of us may know what units your being offered.

Might want to spend more time and energy researching these two contractors. A 10k builder grade anything can trump a 20k high end anything by installation alone.

See if they, the contractor or your power company or even the installer offer any rebates.
There is also tax incentives that may be available for the installation of new systems.
It pays to look into that.
