Hi! Anyone have a comfortmaker furnace that makes a noise when it starts up? Just by looking at it the sound seems to be comming from the motor at the top of the furnace not the blower motor. Is there anyway to stop it from making that loud humming noise?

Sounds like the ventor motor.
There is not mush you can do about
It is a sealed unit., you need a licensed gas fitter to replace the ventor motor.
The ventor motor is what moves all the exhaust from your furnace.

Inside the assembly that is making the noise is a little blower wheel that is rubbing on the housing or the furnace. It looks just like a hamster cage wheel.
call a local HVAC contractor, and they will fix the problem right away.
I would call them as soon as possible, because they might just have to adjust the wheel. But if you wait too long, you could damage the assembly and have no heat. New assemblys are a lot more expensive than an adjustment.
