combo furnace recommendations?

I posted a few days ago about putting in an add-on wood furnace, but I'm also wondering about putting in a wood/oil combo furnace instead. I'm hoping someone will have a recommendation.

I have a 1300 sq ft. single story home with an existing oil furnace. Hot air. Upstate NY.

Any advice is appreciated.

I know this is an older post, but I thought I would weigh in.

I also live in upstate NY and we just installed a newmac cl-86/96C wood/oil combo. Paid $3800 for the furnace. We have yet to light a fire (just installed yesterday) but the oil burner is better than the furnace we had. its a really beefy unit, and a guy I know that has been doing hvac for 30 years says in his early days installed a ton of newmac furnaces and still services the same ones now.

just my 2 cents!

I purchased a Marathon wood/oil combo. I paid a little less than you but it is literally in pieces. It will take me a week to get it all together.

Good luck! Here's hoping we both stay warm.
