Colorado technician requirements
Hey guys,
I'm looking to become an HVAC technician in Colorado and need to find out the requirements. This page http://www.hvaccertificationcenter.com/colorado says that there are no requirements, but that seems suspicious to me...can anyone confirm or deny this? Thanks. |

Colorado technician requirements
Welcome. I can't say about Colorado as I'm in Texas but I started out some over a decade ago as a helper, became EPA certified, only last year took a few college courses and can at any time take my contractors test and if I pass I can start my own hvac business.
I think you need four years time in the trade as well to become an actual contractor down here. To be a technician you need to register with the state. That's $30 annualy. |
