Problem with burners. Pilot lite will stay lite, when burners come on it will shut all off in about 5-8secs

Does this have an HSI ignition or an actual standing pilot?

You will need to check the roof jack (chimney). The center vent pipe may be rotted out. You need to take the cap off on the roof and check. If the center pipe is rotted it will cause the furnace to run out of oxygen and the flames will die in a few seconds, just like you explained. If it is bad, replacement roof jacks are available. Could also be a bee hive or birds.
