Cold bedrooms

We have a small house but our bedrooms have to be open in order for the rooms to access cold air return in our hallway , my question is should i put cold air returns in each bedroom or maybe just saw an inch off of the bedroom doors ? I am unsure what to try .

Well either way would work. I personally have returns in each of the bedrooms. But its much harder to do that then to cut the doors.
So easy way would be to cut the doors, but both will work.

Do you want privacy when Your bedroom door is closed.
If so, under cutting the door is not the right way.
It will work, but you won't have privacy any more.

Cutting a low grille in teh bedroom, and a high grille in the hall way, will give more privacy then cutting the doors.
