A coils

I have a trane unit 2years old the a coil is at room temp at the top and cold in the middle and bottom tech told me it was a bad a coil or expansion valve have you hers of this problem.

Does it cool your house to the temp you want ? What problem makes you check your coil temp ?

Could also just be low on charge. can't tell without the numbers from the gauges and temp probes.
