Many times it doesn't take pulling anything....there is water where it shouldn't be. The lawsuit prompted carrier to extend the warranty's on the secondary hx, but there is an extensive checklist to go thru because the failures were attributed to improper installs. Primarily, the HX's had to be sloped correctly to drain the acidic condensate water that would sit in the secondary and eat thru the walls.

I recommend to all my customers to take the credit carrier will give to get a new furnace. The key to most hvac problems is having a competent company install the furnace in the first place.

There is not a drop of anything or rust spot under the fan, it's set up as a updraft .

I had a furnace man out, I assume he was licensed had a big yellow page ad he said to get a new pressure switch because I could get it cheaper , I had told him the price I could get it for. I did put it in and it works every other cycle. It works every cycle when the intake pipe is disconnected from the furnace , works great then, So do I give up on this last furnace man and call Carrier. You have to understand that I'm on a fixed budget and just calling anyone is against my better judgment. I've done all this my whole life. Until they just get so complicated I don't understand it anymore, this may be one of them. The only reason I call one this time is I cut the end of my finger off with a router just a couple of days ago and I can't do much right now.
