Clean or Replace duct work?

Home is 52 years old. Should I have duct work cleaned out or replaced. The only issue is our son is moving home and has had allergies when he stays here.

Clean or Replace duct work?

Why would you want to replace it all? Are there distribution problems etc? Have you ever had it cleaned before?

Just get a good cleaning done, if his alergies are a concern add a better filtration system like an air purifier, HEPA filter, pleated media filter, or UV light pack.

I would put my money into adding better filtration and a good cleaning, rather than spend a pile on replacing all the ductwork and getting nothing better from it.
