clean a/c coils clogged with cat hair

what's the best way to keep the ac coils from getting clogged with cat hair. How often should this be maintained? My a/c tech wants me to get rid of my cats. He says he has to clean the coils too often and it will cut the life of the coils/ air handler.

Get rid of the cats

How often should this be maintained?
Daily. With locks on the doors and extreme diligence.

My a/c tech wants me to get rid of my cats.
He's correct (and not just because of the AC)

He says he has to clean the coils too often and it will cut the life of the coils/ air handler.
He's right about that too.

If you're completely out of tote sacks and the river is just too far away...
you can spend a small fortune on a series of filters.
But you'll still have litter pans to clean.

Funny stuff tarheel.

Marcy, use a cheap pleated filter and change it often. That might mean once a week if that's what it takes. For sure at least once a month.
