circulator pump is failing

Hi. I have a 900,000 BTU American Standard Boiler from 1939 that had its circulator pump replaced about 5 years ago. The original pump was a Taco 110-24 and the new pump is a taco 007-F5. The new pump is now failing and it has blown its primary overload protector 10 times. Why is this happening? Also the Triple Aquastat Relay made by Minneapolis Honeywell is now clicking like mad.

A 007 can't move as much water as a 110-24.

900,000 BTUs? Big boiler. What temp are you running the boiler at.

Do you mean the thermostat temp? That is 68 degrees fahrenheit. I cannot see the front of the aquastat due to it facing the wall, 1 foot away from it.

Use a mirror to read that aquastat.
Read the 007 instructions to make sure you are installing it in an allowable position.
Check the water you drain off for doing the pump change to see if it's full of debris and the whole system needs flushing..
Consider removing the check valve from the 007 if that's the pump you decide to go with again.
Watch for leaking auto bleeds or relief valves that constantly require the boiler to refill with new oxygenated replacement water which causes faster than normal rusting.
