Cheapest place to buy a Honeywell valve?

I got a Honeywell VR4200 gas valve / thermocouple, without burner, for $65 on eBay a few months ago. I need another similar gas valve (thermocouple, 1/2" in, 120vac), but now they are selling for about $100.

Does anyone know a cheap place online to buy gas valves?

do your own research. We are not here to be your price finder. Just sayin. If you want technical help this would be the place to ask that question.

Yeah, no luck - I even checked the store of the seller I got one from last time.

I could save like $20 if I got a 24vac one, and I already have a 24v adapter, but I'd almost rather pay the extra 20 and make the wiring cleaner.

Does $100 seem like a decent price? I know with electronics, people will take items that are normally a couple bucks, like relays, and put them online for a lot more - I just don't want to pay $100 if they are normally $50 and the guy selling them is marking them up $50.

You are getting a deal if you do it yourself. My company will charge part and trip around 450.00

Alright then, I ordered it. When you say a 'deal', I'm guessing you mean to put it in a hot water heater?

I'm using it to make a remote controlled gas fireplace out of a broken gas fireplace (for the logs and burner), a Stanley remote controlled outlet, bricks, some gas line and a computer cord. They come out really sweet, just takes a little work to position the pilot / thermocouple in a spot where it will light the burner without going out.
