Changing the oil filter in boiler

Is it necessary to bleed your oil fired boiler, after changing the oil filter?

Thanks in advance

YES, when u change the inline filter element there is a BLEED Screw at the outlet fitting, usually a 1/4" hex screw loosen that screw, change its washer, it comes with the element is the itty bitty one, leave it loose and turn oil back on when no more sir runs out and it is pure oil tighten it.
NOW is this a single or double line system????? IF single you may also have to open the bleed screw on the pump to purge it.
