changed my GE blower motor and capacitor now wont turn on


i replaced my GE 5kcp39jgp752as blower motor with a Dayton 3lu79j all the wires are the same but one on the GE is blue were one one on the Dayton is orange .i hooked all the wires up by color to the same spot that i had taken them of i put the orange were the blue wire was. i also replaced the capacitor turn on the power motor just hums. please help i have a pregnant wife and shes hot and cranky thanks

this may sound like a simple question but did you close up all panels?

many have safety switch that prevents the furnace from turning on while access panel(s) are open.

also, are you sure that dayton motor is a direct replacement? when i replaced my ge blower motor with dayton, all wires matched up.

Post what wire is where. We don't know whee your original wires where.

Blue and orange probably don't do the same thing.

The humming says the door panels are closed.
