Central heating unit not blowing air

I have a Comfortmaker Central Heating Unit.

I turn the heater on, I hear it ignite and start working, but then the blower doesn't kick on. So I turn it off, turn the fan to ON and the blower works fine. I've looked inside the unit, don't see anything disconnected, shorted out, etc.

I did a search a while back and was able to fnd something about an "anticipator switch?" or maybe something about a relay, but now I can't find anything. Can someone help me?

Could be the heating fan relay on the circuit board is faulty. While the burner is running try flip it to ON from Auto. If it works then you may need a new board.

Well I don't think it's igniting. Everything clicks and sounds like it comes on, but this morning I let it run a minute, put the fan on ON and nothing but cold air came out. So now I move from a blower problem to one where it's just not igniting, thus not kicking on the blower that does work.

The model#'s you posted are for the A/C coil and not the furnace. Find the model and serial # stickers by the burners and post them and a pic of the unit helps also.

I also checked and the blower is working it's just not igniting.

My guess would be the gas valve. That is called a smart valve by the manufacturer. There has been tons of problems with these valves. You should also check the resistance of the ignitor. A good smart valve ignitor will read less than 10 but more than zero.

LOL Well it's fixed! Reading some more on repairs someone mentioned finding a hose between the blower and somethingerother and seeing if it is blocked. Not blocked, but a big hole in it! Taped the hole, turned the unit on and everything fired right up. It was that orange tube, you can see part of the hole in the photo.

Check that hose once a year, it is prone to getting condensation in it. The hose runs from the ventor fan to the pressure switch (thingy).
