Central Air Unit is freezing up, all fans working

Cooling problem. Fans are good both on the exterior and underneath the crawl space. The exterior is a Goodman CM36-1eb central air unit. The second part is the upflow furnace in the crawl space which is a model No.
GMP 0753REVB. The air runs and get cold, but then it freezes up. You can about a 1/2" of ice on the exterior freon line. It's wet where the upflow furnace is and the fan and coil is. Can't get to the coil because it is sheet metal enclosed. But will attempt to cut open the sheet metal tomorrow to see if it is dirty. The air flow is good in all rooms, and the fans are working good.
Any ideas anybody?

Your refrigerant charge is probably inadequate. You will have to have it checked preferably by a pro.

Had a tech come out who said the fans are good, and he input two pounds of freon. After it still was freezing.

The temperature was at about 40 degrees, but then dropped in about 15 minutes to 28. The tech said there was some type of blockage in the system.
