Central Air Problem

I have a Tappan FT3BA-048KA. I'm trying to find an Owner's Manual. Any ideas? The compressor periodically stops running and buzzes for about 2 seconds. This happens every three minutes or so and then the compressor will eventually run again. It cools fine once the compressor kicks in. The fan runs fine.

Central Air Problem

Compressor having a hard time starting can be a weak capacitor. Buy a new one and if it cures the problem great, if not you're out less then $20. Next step would be adding a hard start kit like the compressor saver brand.
