Central AC recommendations??
I am researching replacing my central AC. It is currently a RUUD 2Ton. Is there a preferred brand??
More importantly is there a I would not put one of those in my house if they gave it to me for free, or a I am so sorry I bought Brand X? As the SEER rating rises does the complexity and future problems rise also? IS there a good website to look for this info?? As usual any input, suggestions, thoughts, advice and wisecracks greatly appreciated. JIm |

Brand makes little to no difference.
Higher SEER often has a better warranty. But SEER/efficiency increase doesn't make a system break down anymore then a lower SEER unit. |

Improperly sized and not properly maintained on a yearly basis is the biggest reason they break down. You get what you pay for in quality and sound as you spend more $$ on similarly sized units.
