I came home this morning to my house being warm. The air was on but the blower was not blowing. Went to the basement and shut everything down. Istarted it back up and i got a code 44 twice then followed by code 41 several times. I read on other post that the question was not really answered. Does this mean that my furnace is shot? What parts are need to fix this.
I think Yuri did answer in the old post...this is using an early generation ECM (DC) blower motor for efficiency and variable speed and they are very expensive to replace, so it's likely that the cost won't make sense on a unit this old. You might want to have a tech at least confirm what you are seeing, they often have plug-in diagnostic tools to troubleshoot these types of motors.
