Carrier MPV Furnace & Aprilaire humidifier

Hello,

I am attempting to add an Aprilaire humidified to my carrier MPV furnace and control it with my infinity thermostat. Does anyone else have one of these combos? I wired the two wires from the selenoid to the humidifier terminal (1 wire) and the 24 v com (1 wire). For some reason, it does not work. Is the the correct wiring sceme? Maybe I am programming the humidity function on the thermostat incorrectly. Any suggestions?

what model a/aire is there a fan in the humid? if so it generates its own 24v and only gets hooked to a sail sw and humidistat

in rereading your post you hooked it to two 24v terminals wire to C and humid term if its not the kind with the fan inside it mentioned above

Carrier MPV Furnace & Aprilaire humidifier

The unit is an Aprilaire 600. No fan in the unit. I was told to wire it directly to the furnace and not to use the Aprilaire humidistat to allow humidity to be adjusted via the infinity thermostat. Currently, the senenoid is wired to the HUM and the Com 24 V. Unfortunatly, no humidity is being added to the air.

My furnace has the following terminals:

Hum

W2, Y1, DHUM, G, Com 24V, W/W1, Y/Y2, R.

Also, the salesman sold me a current sensing relay to add to the line. The relay has one solid black wire and one red and black striped wire. Any suggestions?

Thanks for your help.

yea toss the current sensing relay the whole point of wireing it to the humid terminals is so its only on when the heats running possible the humidity is above the max allowed by the stat
wire the solenoid to W and C if it works the stats holding it out
