I have the Carrier Infinity system (59MN7 and 24ANB7) with the Infinity Controller with Wifi. The Infinity TS uses 2 communicating wires and the hot and common wire. The G (fan wire) is not used. How can I connect the Aprilaire 5000 to this unit so that it is active when the fan kicks on? I am thinking that since the G wire is not used, I may need to use a fan sensing relay on the fan wire, but just want to check before going that route. Also, can the Aprilaire be connected so that I can control the fan from the Aprilaire controller (i.e. start fan via the controller without the A/C or furnace running for filtering). Also, I found in the TS service menu that the G wire can be activated for other mechanical devices. Can I connect to the G wire and activate the G wire, via the TS service menu?
Another option would be to get 120v from the EAC terminal on the board in the furnace/air handler. It gives you 120v whenever the fan is on no matter what is calling. If fan on it will run. If you only need 24v put a transformer on the EAC terminal.
