Carrier Infinity 96 heats to slow

Recently installed Carrier Infinity 96 Gas Furance. Had a old Electric Lennox from the 80s installed prior. The new furance takes over double the time to heat the house, the lennox would raise the home from 17c to 22c in about 15 minutes max, the new system takes about 45 minutes even with the same temp outside.

Any suggestions? Could it be because its not hooked up with the carrier infinity thermostat? The current theromostat they have is a nova or something. Single stage thermostat with a dual state hvac?

5 deg C in 15 minutes ?? I live in Winnipeg and know the climate. That sucker must have been oversized. I am not overly familiar with the new Carriers but sell a lot of Lennox G61V and G71MPP's. If it is a multiple stage furnace it may take 10 mins B4 ramping up to a higher stage. A single stage stat will used the timed on feature B4 going to 2nd stage. A good 2 stage Honeywell Vision Pro may work well as long as you follow the install info and set the board dip swotches properly. Carrier has some tech support out of Edmonton. I will leave it at that as some Carrier guys can give better advice on that stat. I would expect 2-3 deg C in 15 minutes. Gawd its cold today and tomorrow.

Thats 10F.
If the old unit did that in 15 minutes it was grossly over sized.

So they are probably saving a lot of money with the new furnace.

If they didn't want long run times. They shouldn't have gotten a 2 stage furnace.
