Carrier Heat exchanger

I ahve a carrier commercial unit at my business that has a cracked heat exchanger. Appraently the landlord years ago painted over the model number. Carrier can not seem to match up the unit so I can purchase the heat exchanger. I also have been hearing some crazy numbers in terms of cost. Can anyone give me some advice?

Sometimes if you look in the electrical compartment on or near the wiring diagrams you can find the numbers. You can also use the compressor numbers to at least determon the tonnage of the unit. I assume this is a rooftop unit and yes the can get expencive. No way to avoid that.
